Unlock Powerful Segmentation: Instantly Filter, Group, and View Linked Records with SalesEdge.io

We’re excited to introduce a new, time-saving way to organize your contacts in SalesEdge.io! Now you can easily view, group, and filter your contacts based on their linked records—like pets, companies, or any other custom associations—directly inside your Smart Lists. This enhancement makes it simple to create tailored audience segments for more effective outreach and follow-up.

What’s New?

  • See relationships at a glance: Add separate columns in your Smart Lists for each type of link your contacts have—whether it’s a Company, Pet, Policy, or anything else you track. This gives you instant visibility into who is connected to what.
  • Interactive linked-record chips: Easily spot all associated records for each contact and click to view more details. If there are multiple records, you’ll see a handy "+N" indicator.
  • Flexible association filters: Quickly find contacts connected (or not connected) to specific records. Use filters like “Contains any”, “Does not contain any”, “Is empty”, or “Is not empty” to fine-tune your lists.
  • Save relationship-based audiences: Create and save Smart Lists based on your contacts’ linked records and reuse them for targeted campaigns or follow-ups.
  • Clearer company organization: The Company column now clearly shows the Primary Company for each contact, so you always know the main connection.

Example: Association columns for Additional Company, Policy, Owned Pet, and Car, right next to Primary Company.

Why This Matters

These updates empower you to turn data into action. For example:

  • Specialized follow-up: If you’re a veterinary coach, create groups of clients linked to specific pets—such as Mango or Jasper—for personalized communication and reminders.
  • Business-focused outreach: Consultants can segment contacts by their association with key companies, making it easy to deliver tailored content or offers to the right audiences.
  • Identify gaps: Quickly spot contacts who don’t have key associations, like an Owned Pet or Additional Company, and update records as needed.

  1. Go to your Contacts and open Smart Lists.
  2. Click the columns count above your list and go to Manage Fields.
  3. Select the association labels you’d like to display (like Company, Pet, etc.), then apply your choices.
  4. Click Filters, search for “Associated,” and choose your desired relationship field.
  5. Use filter options like Contains any, Does not contain any, Is empty, or Is not empty to target your audience.
  6. Apply your filters and save your custom Smart List for future use.

Pro Tips

  • Label wisely: Use clear labels for different types of relationships to keep your data organized.
  • Spot missing connections: Use “Is empty” to find contacts who may need additional information linked.
  • Customized headings: Your association columns will use the names you’ve set up for your objects, keeping things familiar and easy to understand.
