That’s why we’re excited to announce an improvement in SalesEdge.io that makes it easy to tidy up dropdown, multi-select, radio, and checkbox options in your Company and Custom Object fields.
What’s New?
- Permanently delete unused options from your dropdowns, multi-selects, radio buttons, and checkboxes.
- Remove options that are currently in use from future selection—without affecting any existing records that already have that value.
- Before deleting, see exactly how many records are using each option.
- Your current filters, Smart Lists, and workflows will continue to operate as usual, with no interruptions.
Why This Matters
This update empowers you to clean up outdated or incorrect field options without worrying about breaking your past data or automations. You can keep your database clutter-free and make sure your team only sees the choices that are relevant now, all while preserving historical information where you need it.
How to Use This Feature
- Navigate to Settings and select Custom Fields in your SalesEdge.io dashboard.
- Choose the field within a Company or Custom Object that you want to update.
- Select the option you’d like to delete.
- Review how many records currently use that option (if any).
- Confirm your choice to delete.
Helpful Tips
- Options that have been used will stay visible on existing records but won’t be available for new entries, filters, or workflow conditions.
- Once you delete an option, it won’t be selectable going forward.
- This update currently applies to Company and Custom Object fields—Contact and Opportunity fields are not included yet.
