SalesEdge.io Now Delivers Accurate Reputation Scores with Smart Volume-Aware Scoring
We're excited to share a major improvement inside the Online Reputation section of your Marketing Audit Reports in SalesEdge.io — one that delivers far more accurate and insightful scoring for your client's online presence.
What Was the Issue?
Previously, even if a business had just 2–3 perfect reviews, it could score as high as 100% in the audit report. While that might look impressive on paper, it often misrepresented the business’s true credibility. This made it harder for you to demonstrate the real need for reputation-building services during your sales conversations.
Example: A business with only five 5-star Google reviews (and no Facebook presence) may have shown a 75% reputation score — suggesting they were in great shape when they actually needed support.
What’s New: Smarter, More Reliable Scoring
We’ve now rebuilt this system with volume-aware scoring. That means your reports reflect both the quality and the quantity of a business's recent reviews. Here’s how it works:
Volume-based accuracy: A higher number of reviews boosts confidence in the score. Fewer reviews result in a lower score, even if they’re all positive.
Platform-specific weighting: Google reviews now make up 75% of the score, and Facebook 25%. Each is evaluated independently based on its review volume.
Fair scaling: Low-volume businesses can no longer earn a perfect 100%, making it clear where there’s room to grow.
What You’ll See in the UI
To help you confidently discuss these scores with clients or prospects, we’ve added:
Clear volume badges like “Low Review Volume” or “High Review Volume”
Visible sample sizes – For example, “Based on your recent 5 reviews out of 300”
Enhanced visuals – Including new donut charts and a clean layout for better storytelling
More Opportunities to Add Value
If a business has no Facebook profile or zero reviews, that information now appears in shared web reports. This opens the door to easy, helpful conversations about building their reputation.
When review data is delayed, we now show an accurate "data pending" message rather than showing zero reviews — ensuring everyone sees a true picture as soon as the data arrives.
Coming Soon
We’re not stopping here. In upcoming updates, you'll also see:
Competitor and local averages – Compare a business's review profile with similar companies in the area
Customer sentiment summaries – Quickly identify what customers are saying in recent reviews
With these changes, you’ll be able to deliver honest, transparent insights to your clients — and open the door to more sales opportunities with credible, data-backed recommendations.
