SalesEdge.io Now Automates Workflows Instantly From New Google Sheets, Rows, and Worksheets
Overview
Great news for coaches and business owners: you can now connect Google Sheets updates directly to SalesEdge.io workflows. This means you can use the spreadsheets you and your team already rely on to automatically kick off important follow-up steps—saving time and keeping your business moving forward.
What’s new?
SalesEdge.io now offers three powerful new Google Sheets triggers to help automate your processes:
- New Spreadsheet: Automatically start a workflow any time a new Google Sheets file is created in your chosen Drive.
- New Spreadsheet Row: Trigger a workflow as soon as a new row is added to the bottom of a selected sheet or tab.
- New Worksheet: Start a workflow when a new tab (worksheet) is created within an existing spreadsheet.
Why this matters
Many teams and solo professionals keep track of client inquiries, project details, and reports in Google Sheets. Manually checking for new entries or updates can be tedious. With these new triggers, SalesEdge.io will watch for changes and seamlessly start the next step in your process—no more missed leads or delayed follow-ups.
How it works
- Go to Automation > Workflows in SalesEdge.io, select your workflow, and click Add Trigger.
- Search for the Google Sheets triggers or select the Google Sheets category.
- Pick the event that fits your needs: New spreadsheet, New spreadsheet row, or New worksheet.
- Select your connected Google account and Drive. For row and worksheet triggers, choose the right spreadsheet; for the row trigger, also select the correct tab.
- Use the trigger data (such as new inquiry details) in your workflow actions.
- Test your automation using Test > Test using events, then publish your workflow once you're satisfied.
Popular ways to use these triggers:
- Start a lead intake workflow as soon as a new client inquiry is added to your spreadsheet.
- Launch your monthly reporting process when a new month’s tab is added to a report.
- Kick off any internal process the moment a new spreadsheet is created in your drive.
Please note:
- Google Sheets integration is a Premium feature in SalesEdge.io; premium usage charges may apply.
- The row trigger works best when you add new records at the bottom of your sheet. If you insert or delete rows in the middle, it may affect how triggers are processed.
For existing SalesEdge.io users: This update is already live in your account.
