New: Effortlessly A/B Test Workflow Paths in SalesEdge.io—Automatically Route Leads to Top Performers

What’s new?
We’re excited to introduce a powerful upgrade to your workflow automations in SalesEdge.io: the A/B Test action. This tool lets you easily compare how different workflow paths perform, helping you identify which follow-up approach works best for your business. You can test between 2 and 10 paths, set what counts as a “conversion” (such as an email click, appointment booked, or payment received), and decide when your test will end. When a winner emerges, future leads will automatically follow the most successful route, or you can continue testing and reviewing results.

Why does this matter?
Every coach or consultant knows that the right message—and the right timing—can make all the difference. The A/B Test action gives you concrete data on which messaging, emails, or follow-up sequences create the best outcomes for your business goals. You don’t have to guess anymore: now you can measure different approaches and let SalesEdge.io automatically steer new contacts toward your most effective path.

How does it work?

  • Go to Automation > Workflows > Add action in your SalesEdge.io account.
  • Select A/B Test and give your test a clear name.
  • Set up the test:
    • Paths: Add 2–10 options and design the actions or messages you want to compare. SalesEdge.io will automatically split incoming contacts evenly across your chosen paths.
    • Winning Criteria: Select your conversion goal—like email engagement, a calendar booking, specific contact tags, or even payment completion. You can also set custom conditions based on your contact fields.
    • Test Length: Decide how long to run the test: by a number of contacts, number of conversions, or a specific end date and time.

What happens after the test ends?

  • Send new contacts to the winning path: Once a top performer is identified, all future leads will automatically flow through your highest-converting path. Anyone already in a test path will finish their current sequence.
  • Or, keep testing: Prefer to gather more data? You can continue splitting traffic evenly while tracking which approach is in the lead.

Reviewing performance is simple: Open the Statistics panel in your workflow to instantly see how many leads enter each path, how many convert, and the percentage for each. When you’re ready (or if the winner is obvious), just click Declare Winner to officially update routing.

Popular ways to use A/B Testing in SalesEdge.io:

  • Consultation bookings: Compare a direct call-to-action against a nurturing, benefit-focused sequence.
  • Email engagement: See which messaging style leads to more clicks or replies.
  • Lead qualification: Test different educational or screening paths to see which one gets more qualified clients.
  • Payment reminders: Find out which reminder sequence results in faster payments.

Good to know:

  • The A/B Test action is focused on helping you measure and improve conversions. It’s separate from other basic split actions.
  • When a winner is set, you’ll see a clearly marked badge in your workflow. If two or more paths tie, the first path is selected as the winner. Time-based tests use your account’s local timezone.
  • If you’d like to start over, the Reset test option clears previous results so you can run a new comparison with fresh data.
